Yes. PDF, Word, Epub, TXT, RTF,  Pages (apple), and other files with text. I dont recall if designrr has an OCR function, but it would be great to have that too for PDF files. 
I have been using Designrr to write books, and I feel like its very close to being the perfect option. I normally use Word to write books, but with the "right touches", I think I may start using Designrr as my goto app for every book I write.
By the way, is there a way to subscribe to questions asked here by myself or others? I was only able to respond to your question, because I wanted to check on my initial question about Dropbox Integration and saw your question asking me to elaborate. It would be great if I could subscribe and get an email notification. Is that possible?
